Buying your first cryptocurrency can be a daunting task when you're a beginner. I know full well how mind-boggling it can get because I was in your shoes last year.
Truth be told, it's actually as easy as ordering slippers off Amazon - a five minute job.
This guide is specifically aimed at ladies and gents from the UK, USA, and Europe.
Here's what you'll need:
- I.D - Passport / Drivers License
- Payment Method - Debit / Credit Card or Bank Transfer
- Phone Number
Tap the link above, fill in your details, then verify your email. Make sure your password is strong and use a unique one if you can!
When you login to your new account you'll find yourself on the Coinbase dashboard. You'll find a bunch of prices for the listed cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH).
Under the graph you'll find an account check list which you need to complete.
Upload your photo I.D to verify yourself.
Add a working phone number.
When the verification process is complete (be patient) you can add your payment method.
When all that is done, make your way over to the buy / sell tab (near the top).
(This method includes a payment fee! Fees can be avoided, but you need to jump through some hoops. Find out more!)
Select the cryptocurrency you're interested in buying, type in the amount you're looking to spend, and smash that buy button.
You'll find your cryptocurrency in the accounts tab. It may take a short while to go through, don't stress yourself out! Go make a brew - they'll send you an email when it is in your account. Relax.
How easy was that? You are now officially a cryptocurrency holder!
